We are organizationally composed of a unit manager, a group leader, 3 social workers in the reception function, 6 social workers responsible for investigation and follow-up of services, 1 caseworker for foster children, and 2 social workers responsible for foster care/family law.
We are centrally located in newly built premises in the Nykvarn municipal building. The workplace is conveniently located near public transport, and there is free parking within walking distance. The unit is placed alongside the unit that works with adults, making collaboration easy and an integrated part of the unit's daily work when needed.
Social Worker for the Children and Youth UnitJob ResponsibilitiesThe Children and Family unit is growing, and we are therefore strengthening the Children and Youth unit with an additional competent social worker, interested in development and quality work. The position is 100%.
As a social worker in the investigation group, you will work with children/youth and their parents. By adhering to processes and guidelines, you will conduct a legally secure exercise of authority. You should be able to independently investigate children's needs for protection and support, analyze and assess the need for services, and then follow up on granted services. You will be an important part of the unit's work in mentoring new colleagues and developing methods for quality assurance as well as the development needed in light of the new social services law.
We have a goal-oriented working method, and through your work, you will contribute to achieving the unit's goals effectively. Your work will involve collaborating with other professionals both within the unit, within the administration, and externally, for the benefit of children and families.
You will have close collaboration with other caseworkers and managers in the unit, municipal and private providers, as well as other stakeholders in the area of operations.
Additional InformationNykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it an advantage if you speak Finnish.
For this position, you must have a B driver's license.
QualificationsRequirements:
You have a degree in social work
- You have experience in investigative work
- You are secure and stable with a high degree of empathy and a positive mindset
- You are flexible
- You have good collaboration and initiative skills
- You should be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
- You are attracted to working in an exciting municipality in development where you want to be part of driving the development work.
Meritorious:
- You have experience and are driven by interest in development issues, quality assurance, collaboration, and team-based working methods.
- You have experience working according to the Signs of Safety approach
- You have knowledge and experience in investigations according to SAVRY/EARL
